Dragonfly's flight-proven 28V LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) high-power, modular spacecraft energy storage solution. Designed with ITAR-free, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components, this battery seamlessly integrates with our Electrical Power System (EPS) for optimal battery management. Providing a modular and scalable energy storage solution capable of delivering extremely high peak power for demanding applications, the battery is based on the Lithium Iron Phosphate technology for a high cycle-life, enabling missions of between 5 to 8 years in LEO (e.g. SSO).
The built-in Battery Management System (BMS) offers comprehensive monitoring, balancing, and protection of the battery cells during operation and can be utilised as part of our EPS-LP or alternatively, integrated into a platform as a standalone solution.
